Southern Vietnam Gymkhana Championship PVOIL Cup 2025 Concludes Successfully

On May 31, the Southern Vietnam Gymkhana Championship – PVOIL Cup 2025 (PVOIL VGC Southern 2025) took place at Dai Nam Racecourse, Hiep An Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province. The event marked a vibrant beginning for the 2025 PVOIL Cup National Gymkhana Championship (PVOIL VGC 2025).

PVOIL VGC Southern 2025 featured two competition classes: Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) and Rear-/All-Wheel Drive (RWD–AWD). This year’s event showcased more intense competition than the inaugural season, with an increased number of participants from a broader range of clubs — notably, two clubs from the North also sent representatives. In addition to returning top performers, the event welcomed many new faces, including experienced racers with strong records in international competitions.

Mr. Cao Hoai Duong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVOIL, emphasized: “We partner with OTV and the Vietnam Automobile and Sports Association to organize this annual event as a gesture of gratitude to customers and to promote a culture of safe, civilized driving. PVOIL is committed to continuously supporting high-quality racing events for car enthusiasts, not only this year but in future seasons as well.”

Dedicated Track Layouts for Each Competition Class

Gymkhana races are known for their unpredictable challenges, as the track layouts are unique for each event and only revealed to drivers shortly before official competition begins. At PVOIL VGC 2025, these challenges were elevated by the organizers’ decision to create separate tracks for FWD and RWD–AWD classes. This allowed drivers to fully showcase their vehicle control skills and take advantage of their respective drivetrain configurations, while providing spectators with more dynamic and diverse racing action.

Champions Revealed

After a day of thrilling competition, PVOIL VGC Southern 2025 officially concluded. Winners were crowned in both the FWD and RWD–AWD classes, and 20 racers earned their place in the upcoming PVOIL Cup 2025 National Gymkhana Championship.

PVOIL VGC Southern 2025 was not only a platform for individual skill demonstration but also an occasion for car lovers to network, learn, and promote a culture of safe, technical, and professional racing. It served as a strong start for this year’s national Gymkhana season.

The Southern Vietnam Gymkhana Championship – PVOIL Cup 2025 was successfully held as the first race, marking the kickoff of this year’s National Gymkhana Championship season. Following this, the Northern Vietnam Gymkhana Championship – PVOIL Cup 2025 (Northern Qualifier) will take place on June 28–29, 2025, at October 30 Square, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, as part of the Fun Wheels Festival Ha Long 2025. The National Gymkhana Championship – PVOIL Cup 2025 (Final Round) will be held on August 30–31, 2025, at Ham Rong Square, Thanh Hoa City, Thanh Hoa Province.
