PVOIL Appoints New Deputy General Director

On April 9, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) held a ceremony to announce the decision to appoint a new Deputy General Director.

Mr. Cao Hoai Duong – Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Dang Trinh – Vice Secretary of Party Committee, President & CEO of PVOIL; and the Board of Management, and the Board of Directors of PVOIL, leaders of departments/offices, affiliated units, and member units of the Corporation attended the event.

Accordingly, PVOIL announced the Board of Directors’ decision to appoint Mr. Le Trung Hung – Director of Vietnam Petroleum Transport Company Limited (PVOIL Trans) – as Vice President of PVOIL effective from April 3, 2025.

On behalf of the Corporation’s leadership, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong congratulated Mr. Le Trung Hung on his new role and welcomed him as a new member of PVOIL's Executive Board. Recently, PVOIL has been completing the appointment of the General Director and Deputy General Directors from internal personnel, demonstrating unity and high consensus within the leadership and workforce. This reflects the results of long-term training and development of PVOIL's personnel and the trust of Petrovietnam's leadership in PVOIL's team.

PVOIL is currently facing a very challenging business environment, with a continuous decline in oil prices and complex, unpredictable global economic and trade conditions, especially due to the recent countervailing tax policies from the United States. In this context, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong believes that with his extensive experience in previous positions, Mr. Le Trung Hung will contribute positively to helping the Executive Board lead PVOIL through these difficulties, successfully completing the 2025 plan and contributing to the long-term development strategy. The Chairman of the Board of Directors requested Mr. Le Trung Hung to continuously strive for self-improvement, enhance his capabilities and ethics, and be a leader with both vision and dedication, worthy of the trust of PVOIL’s leadership and staff.

In his acceptance speech, the newly appointed Deputy General Director, Mr. Le Trung Hung, expressed his gratitude for the trust, support, guidance, and orientation provided by the leadership of the Group and PVOIL. He pledged to exert his utmost efforts, constantly learn, remain humble, be creative and innovative in mindset to meet the demands of his new role. He committed to working closely with the leadership to develop consistent directions and solutions, promoting unity across the system to turn challenges into opportunities and fulfill the 2025 goals, contributing to PVOIL’s sustainable growth.
