Since September 16th, 2021, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) and PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL), two subsidiaries of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) agreed to support to the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control task in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the commitment, BSR and PVOIL offered free gasoline for more than 220 volunteer vehicles serving the pandemic prevention in the locality. The fuel was handed to the volunteer group thanks to the support from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City. Value of was support was estimated at 1 VND billion.
Supports from the enterprises strongly encouraged the frontline forces in fighting the virus. Assessing the contributions and support of the companies, Ms. To Thi Bich Chau, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Ho Chi Minh City chapter, said: “Over the past months, the committee has accompanied the frontline forces in pandemic prevention and control as well as provided support to people facing difficult situation in infected areas.”
“We respectfully acknowledge and thank the sponsors, agencies and enterprises for accompanying the city in fighting the pandemic. They stay side by side to help us overcome the pandemic. Those sentiments are so precious. The spirit of solidarity was promoted. It was also a great source of encouragement to the front-line forces to continue completing tasks of saving the people," she added.
Mr. Le Ngoc Loi, an ambulance driver of Le Van Thinh Hospital, one of hospitals were in charge of treating Covid-19 patients in Ho Chi Minh City, was touched by the hearts of sponsors. He thanked BSR for accompanying PVOIL to continue the program of providing free petrol for the fleets of the City Fatherland Front Committee for pandemic prevention and control.
He said every day his car consumes about 500,000 VND of gasoline. Thanks to the sponsor, he could save a large amount of money. But for him, it is more important that he feels warm and get encouraged and motivated.
With this form of support, drivers will be able to fill petroleum with the PVOIL Easy application at all PVOIL and COMECO petroleum stations in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.
The amount of gasoline was allocated according to the actual demands of the fleet while conducting supporting the city’s pandemic prevention. Operations were done simply and quickly. The driver uses the PVOIL Easy application and fill up the gasoline at the petroleum station.
